“I work at a taxidermy shop located in Utah, we ship out all of our hides that need soft tanned to this tannery. They do really good work, the softness of the hide sometimes varies but it’s a very smooth tan and they will do any species we send them. They are very upfront about their quality and pricing. The only animals we have ever had issues with, out of the hundreds we send them every year, is some hair loss in bears (which is usually due to time the bear has spent in the heat when harvested or the age) and some of our shop identification tags going missing during the tanning process. But they secure all claws and hoofs, and anything that becomes detached they put in a bag. We never have issues with tails coming off or animals going missing.
